First time dining at Jonathan’s. Wow, an unexpected treat. Very fresh high quality ingredients carefully prepared. Nice menu. Good wine list. Great breads and butter pre-dinner. White tablecloths and fabric napkins, water goblets. Good reservations system. We enjoyed all our entrees and the shared appetizer. Looking forward to future visits. Not your typical tourist experience thankfully.

Each visit begins with a tantalizing appetizer, whether it’s the fresh and delicious jumbo shrimp cocktail or the rich seafood chowder. The main courses never fail to impress. One of our favorites is the Seafood Stuffed North Atlantic Haddock, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The poached lobster is equally delectable, making every bite a memorable one. Even the sides, like the perfectly mashed potatoes, add to the culinary delight. Saving room for dessert is a must here. The dark chocolate mousse is a decadent treat that wraps up the meal perfectly, and the apple crisp dessert provides a warm, comforting finish to an outstanding dining experience. The ambience at Jonathon’s is another highlight. With a charming, romantic setting and soothing piano background music, it’s the perfect place for a special night out. We went here last night for our anniversary. We made a reservation through the site. They greeted us warmly with a handmade anniversary card and complimentary glasses of champagne. It was such a nice touch to make it special without being over the top. The food was timed perfectly and literally DIVINE. The staff was so friendly and attentive without being pushy. We will ABSOLUTELY be returning.

We have been staying in Ogunquit for 43 years. We have been to Jonathan's maybe 5 times. Every time we eat there, we say, I can't believe we don't come here more often. The experience and food is always awesome. We ordered mussels last week. We actually couldn't finish them because there were so many. The picture below is just a picture of a stand that holds purses and sweaters at each table. I was impressed. Good thinking.

We love going to Jonathan's because the food is exceptional. It was an escape weekend for my husband and I after Ihad just had surgery. Couldn't wait to order the lobster. It came to the table looking delicious and it dawned on me. I had just had surgery and had no use of my right arm. How was I gonna break the lobster. Then my server Richard came over. I explained everything he said no problem. I'll be right back. He came back with gloves and broke all my lobster for me so that I could have my wonderful delicious dinner. No one in my lifetime has been so kind, thank you Richard and thank you Jonathan's restaurant for the best meal ever! They bring new meaning to" family run" 0/100

My son and I really enjoyed our first experience at Jonathan's :) It was his birthday and we were going to a show at the Playhouse after dinner. Everything was really, really good...the only reason I didn't give the food category 5 stars was because my seafood dish, although full of very fresh and hot fish, did not have the flavor I was expecting that was described in the menu. I expected a garlicky, savory taste but what I got was very bland, so that part was disappointing. My son said his rib eye steak was the best he's had in a long time! Mashed potatoes and vegies were great, appetizers were good, bread was lovely, desserts were great...all in all, a wonderful meal! Oh, and the service was very good from a new waiter, and atmosphere is warm and inviting :)
